Rain - time to play in the mud!

We finally had a couple of days of rain!

Not a lot, but enough to make some mud. It was in the 40's, so the guys put on some ski pants and their boots to ride the 4 wheeler in the now muddy pond. We also had a few trucks come in to play, a few of which got stuck.

Today it's in the 80's and soon the pond will be dusty dirt again.

We need a lot more rain to have enough water to fill it back up.

This is maybe the 3rd time in 25 years that it has gone dry.

Seniors on the Mound

I went to my son Taylor's baseball game Saturday. They played in a tournament in Devine. We lost the 1st 2 games and won the last 2. This is from the last game.

All the boys on the mound are seniors. It made me a bit sad and happy at the same time. Sad since my son is a senior in high school and this will be the last year he will play with all the boys he grew up playing ball with and happy to see them enjoying the game and having some fun.

Sky Watch Friday

We had a cold front coming in and this wonderful sunset was one of the benefits before we had the cold come in. Only in Texas...90's one days, 60's the next! LOL

No Wildflowers This Year

The Texas State Flower is the Bluebonnet.

These are pinkbonnets and bluebonnets.

I took this last year. Since we haven't gotten any rain, the wildflowers are not going to bloom this year. I sure will miss them. I took this last year.

We sure need some rain ~

Future Crusader!!

I haven't had time lately to post. We've been busy doing all the things you have to do to prepare for collage....FAFSA, applications and visits, etc

Taylor has committed to play football at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.

Off with the green and white...on with the purple and gold!

He will play on the JV his first year and hopefully on to Varsity after that.

I am so proud of Taylor and his accomplishments! Go Crusaders!
