Happy Birthday

Today is for my good friend Gail's birthday. She is the one in the red ski pants. I am in black and white and the other young lady is our friend Beth. Gail and her family moved to Arkansas this past year, so I don't have a very recent photo of her.

Miss you Girl! Have a happy, happy day! Lots of love!

This picture was taken during a ski trip with our church youth group to Glorietta, NM. They worked hard to raise the money to go. For some, it was the first time to see snow, much less ski or snow board! We had a wonderful time. They received a record amount of snow when we there. So much, we had to stay an extra day and missed our last day on the mountain. Everyone made the most of it with fort building, snow fights and as the picture shows, a few of us were brave enough to hike up so we could see Glorietta down below. Great memories!

Lone Star Wind Mill

This windmill caught my eye today on the way home from work. It wasn't the windmill though, there are quite a few around here. It was the star they welded on it. I wonder if they have lights on it? I will have to go by one night and check it out. It seems a bit hazy, dust in the air?

Fields in Marion

Happy Saturday! My neighbors are out of town camping so I'm feeding the animals and keeping an eye on things.
This picture and the other one were taken while over at their place. The sun was moving over the fields and I just love how that looks, the shadows and then the full sun shining down.
For some reason today the fields just made me smile. :) I hope they make everyone else that see them smile today too.

7 on 7 Football State Tournament

Two of my sonsJimmy & Taylor
This is a picture of the Marion 7 on 7 team that made it to the Texas State Tournament. We played in Collage Station during a 2 day tournament. They won thier pool and the first round. They lost in the second round. They were one of the top 16 teams. Jimmy coached and Taylor played. All the boys on the team play football in our small town here in Texas. I was very proud of them!

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful comments and suggestions. I appreciate it :0)

Sky Watch Friday

I'm posting early, since I may not get to tomorrow. I took this the other morning at sunrise in my front yard. The house across the road has not woke up yet, the porch light is on. Good Morning Leleo!
I loved all how the sunrise colored all the clouds. Please check out other sky watchers at http://skyley.blogspot.com/ Happy Friday Everyone

Guadalupe River State Park

Here is my mom under a tree that is normally right next to the water. She loves to be out in nature.
Check out the other side of the river, you can see the different layers.

Guadalupe River State Park

For my first post I chose a picture I took when I was camping at the Guadalupe River State Park. I went camping with my mom and girlfriends. A lady's weekend. :)
The water was low but that did not stop all of us from having a good time. I love how you can see where the water would normally be flowing. The river rocks are smooth, though abit difficult to walk on barefoot.
